Women’s National and Olympic Team tryouts

This past week in Wesley Chapel, the new Florida Hospital Center Ice rink hosted the Women’s National and Olympic Team tryouts for the 2018 South Korea Olympics. There were 42 players at the tryout, but only 23 made the team.

The players were divided into two teams, blue and white. Each team would have daily practices and trainings on and off the ice, as well as inter squad scrimmages. The girls definitely did not take it easy on one another. 

This event was a great opportunity for young girl hockey players to finally see their role models in action. Florida Hospital Center Ice will be the new training facility for the players who make the team leading up to the Olympics. On the new roster are two new players, the rest are returning National Team players. Below is the 2018 Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team:
