Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

Starting any new program consists of hard work and patience, as Mrs. Enyart would know. She started and developed the dance program at Wesley Chapel High, known as the #WCDD. Mrs. Enyart started the program with a small carpeted room, only with 30 students in the program. Over the years many students have advocated for the dance program. As a result, the program grew from 30 to 300 students. Mrs. Enyart has built the dance program to a point where many students see dance not just as a credit, but as a different way to apply themselves. As a teacher, Mrs. Enyart see’s the program farther than just an academic class, but as a way to connect with students and guide them to be potentially greater people in society.

As the year is coming to an end, there were a few speculations of Mrs. Enyart leaving to start the dance program at CCMHS. Once the final showcase ended, Mrs. Enyart finally confirmed the rumors of her departure to CCMHS. For some dancers, that meant they’re able to move on to the new school with their dance teacher by their side. Though for others, it meant they had just performed their last showcase with Mrs. Enyart. Mrs. Enyart plans on still being involved with #WCDD as much as possible. As for the new program, she plans on developing it with the same foundation as Wesley Chapel’s. Mrs. Enyart feels as the two programs should have a “very close working relationship”, and who would be better than to do that than Mrs. Enyart herself? She feels as that, “with any fine art, the opportunity to take from multiple teachers and for students to have support…is important”.

As Mrs. Enyart takes on this role, she leaves behind the program she developed. Many dancers wish for her to stay as they have had her as their dance teacher for several years. As with any program, there are high hopes of what can come from the new dance program at CCMHS and its relationship with the program at WCHS. Coming from me and on behalf of the student body, we wish you the best of luck!

Two seniors – who are also choreographers – Sara Sapia and Valentia Valle, have spent all four of their high school years involved with #WCDD and each will have the program and Mrs. Enyart in their hearts.

Sara Sapia: “I hope that the department can maintain its family component even when Mrs. E is gone, because it has been so important in so many kids lives. I can only ever wish Mrs. E the best, she has been there for me and taught me so much for four years, i love her dearly and hope she has an amazing new experience at the new school.”

Valentina Valle: “I wish for the program to keep growing the way it has, for it to keep inspiring people the way it does every day, and for Mrs. E, I wish she accomplishes everything she wishes for and specially creating another amazing dance program at the new school!”
